Come what may . . .

Thursday we went to go see Juana before heading off to do scambio in Cimiano (another part of Milan). It was so good to see her and to see Gianpi (her two year old). We ended up staying for lunch and just enjoyed talking with her. We read the Book of Mormon with her. She loves the book of Alma. She decided to restart the book because she had started listening to it instead of actually reading it and now she has decided that she likes reading it more.

Then we went to do scambio with the other Sorelle! I did my scambio with Sorella Adams. She's going home in about three weeks and it was so fun getting to know her. We both hated talking about ourselves so kept redirecting the questions to the other person haha. We went out for lunch and ate way too much and taught a couple lessons.

After the scambio was over on Friday we rushed over to the Primary Halloween activity. Erica and her kids came! Miracle! They're adorable and I think they enjoyed themselves so that's good. It was fun to get to know some of the sisters in the ward better too. I got the chance to talk to Sorella Rosa. She is so funny and I found out that she played softball for 15 years! I'm in Italy. People who play softball are so rare! (Ironically I also met a lady on the street who also played softball this week too.) You never find that! So we both talked about how fun it is and how much we miss it haha. Sorella Rosa also has 3 boys (8,7,5) and her husband is not a member but supports her in everything. He comes to church every week with her, helps her with the boys, and supports her in her callings. They're great and my heart got twice as big while talking to them.

On Saturday we went to go see la famiglia Ponce. They're so awesome and I love them. They are members of the ward and they just need a little bit of strengthening because they're going through a hard time right now. We had an amazing lesson about the plan of salvation. Then for the rest of the day we did some pass bys. We had one person with luck. So we went back on Sunday. The funny thing about pass bys is that you never know what you're walking into. Especially because we don't know the ward too well yet. So we walked in and we didn't know who the member was. We ended up just straight up asking. But it was a little old lady who has a daughter in the ward. It seemed like she had memory issues and so we just visited her and went on our way.

We met Gibson and his friend on Sunday too. Gave them a Book of Mormon. They're from Nigeria. It was a good lesson. I swear Nigerians age so well. They told us they were 35 and they looked like they were 10 years younger. They just stop aging at a certain point haha

Halloween!! We had a lesson with Claudio and Juana. We invited them to be baptized and gave them a date to pray about. They want to get baptized as a family and so hopefully they will receive the answer they need. (They also came to church on Sunday and it was like they were right at home. They have a lot of friends in the ward.) We had lunch with an old lady in the ward and it was so sweet of her. I don't know how she cooked it. She really shouldn't be standing up that long but she wanted to make us feel welcome. She's so sweet! Her name is Sorella Uras.

Tuesday we had District meeting and saw la famiglia Ponce again. Then we saw Sorella Agata. I love her! She's hilarious. And she could talk for ages! It was fun to get to know her better!

In district meeting we talked about the small moments. The small moments of happiness and the small moments of trial. It's how we react in these small moments that create the big moments. There was a quote... Well a couple that I really liked. "Moments are the molecules that make up eternity" and "come what may and love it". There will always be good and there will always be bad. But as we search to be true disciples of Christ in every moment, we find true happiness.

I love you all. Have an awesome week!
